Guest guest
As I am sure we all know our disease is very rare. Only a handful of people per 100,000 are diagnosed each year. With these numbers Achalasia will never be a high profile disease like cancer, heart disease or AIDS. We probably never will have a national spokesperson. Interesting, I did find out that Doris (Everyone Loves ) is a spokesperson for GERD. Although I am sure that the people suffering from GERD is significantly higher than Achalasia. I was wondering if anyone in the group has ever known of any famous or maybe infamous person that has or has had Achalasia. It probably unlikely but you never know.
