Carl Sagan had Achalasia. That was in this Forum a year ago and can be

find in biographies of him.

Dr. Carl Sagan (Astronomer) suffered from Achalasia. He died several years ago. He had the "Cosmos" series on television.

And Blunkett (UK politician) was in hospital a few months ago for

what sounded very like Achalasia - thought the word was never used.

He had the TV Series Cosmos, he wrote several popular science books

and the novel " Contact " . A Film was made from this novel with the same

title. Jodie Forster acted there as the main character.

And he was a strong supporter of the Project SETI (Search for Extra

Terestrial(?) Inteligence).
