Years ago I remember reading in Ask Marilyn, that Marilyn Vos Savant said

she had trouble swallowing, particularly cold drinks. I don't remember her

saying anything about achalasia. (It was a long time ago, before I knew the

word achalasia.) Her husband, Jarvik, is the inventor of the Jarvik

heart. If not a spokesperson for achalasia, perhaps one for dysphagia would do.
