I will be seeing my GI this Friday and will see who he recommends before I ask about Dr. Blom. I'll also read your history in the files here. Can't believe how much info is available on this site. If I go ahead with the surgery, I'd prefer to have it in the Fall when I don't mind recooperating indoors for a month - I love my gardening too much. It may take that long for the surgeon to schedule me after having me repeat the Menometry etc. I had that done twice and honestly can't stand it. My body goes into shock and I shake all over, can't seem to relax - even after 1-1/2 hrs of the Froedtert team moving the tube up and down my throat. I have anxiety just thinking about it. Did I read that someone actually was able to be sedated a little during this Menometry procedure? Keep us up-to-date on your recovery. ED and LAURA, thanks for your recommendations on how to research surgeons. JEANNE - RI, you said you still have spasms and feel like food is getting stuck after your last Myotomy? Is this right, or are there 2 Jeanne's on here? It definitely helps me when I see what State each person lives in - after their name. God bless all of you.
