- How long did your surgeries last?

Hi ,

I read in your post that you had two open myotomies, and I am just

curious at how long each one lasted. I thought that I saw in another

post that you had one in 1974 and then your most recent in 1996 - Did

the myotomy in 1974 last until 1996 or did you have difficulty for a

long time before consenting to another surgery? I am just curious

since my husband had an open myotomy three weeks ago today. We are

really hoping and praying for long term success, but as I have

learned here and through my research that this is a very long journey

with no guarantees.
