It is hard to get people to understand where I am coming from. Everyone ask me about it, but no one really understands. I have been considering the surgery I think it is called Myotomy. I feel like I have no other route to go. I have had the dialation and 2 botox injections. The first one lasted almost 1 year. I just had the other botox in October 2002, and started having trouble again in December. That just really isn't very long. I would be open to any tricks anyone else has discovered. It has really been a try and try again process for me. It is great that there is a place I can come and get advice from people who has actually " been there, done that " Anyhow, is there anyone who can give me advice on the myotomy procedure???? I would greatly appreciate it. I feel it is going to be the final outcome anyway. Meanwhile, I continue on the Nexium, and the hit and miss days of eating. Thanks for all of your help. Guest guest Posted January 23, 2003 Report Share Posted January 23, 2003 I had the surgery been over a year now, and would do it again, its been good, used to have to take pills to be able to eat now I dont, yes would recommend the mytomy I have difuse spasms at top and acalasia bottem they fixed the acalasia, has been good, there are times when the top part plays up, but if when eating it dont want to go down it sure is faster going down now, but most times can eat or drink without any trouble, so they have fixed the aculasia I could have another surgery to see if it will help with the difuse spasms but even that has been so much better, anyways have been really pleased and happy with the surgery. sue w "slm041302 <slm041302@...>" <slm041302@...> wrote: Thank you for responding Nell.
