Guest guest Posted October 7, 2002 Report Share Posted October 7, 2002 G'Day All, I had a hellers myotomy with a partial wrap 6 months ago and it was the one of the best decisions I have ever made. Prior to the op, it was a case of 2 litres of water per meal to force food through, constant spasms, throwing up regularly, sleeping upright. I had one dialation, that only improved things for a short time. Then came the decision to have the operation,after getting all the info I could and reading the posts from this site. I can now eat any food and my life and that of my family has improved out of sight. For my 6 month follow up I had to go and have a barium swallow, that they told me looked ok ( I had forgotten how bad it tastes ) and I have to see the surgeon for a final check next week.
