, what kind of surgery did you have in 99? I had dilations

prior to the myotomy but didn't have anything like what you're

experiencing. It seems I'm telling everybody to ask their doctor but

I really think you should. Maybe someone else has had this same

experience! Keep in touch.

I will be thinking about you and wishing you luck with the proceedure.  I'm

hoping to be able to manage my eating better to avoid future dilations.  Hot

chicken consume' seems to work well in opening up the E.

Subject: balloon dialation

Hi all,

I'm going to Mayo (Rochester) next week for the 30mm pneumatic dilation (that's

all they do). It is my only choice these days. Can anyone give me some positive

feedback on potential for lasting given a 21 year post HM and age over 50? I am

in need of some support from fellow As.

Thanks,

Faith
