I started having some trouble with food sticking in the surgical site in my neck and had very bad dumping syndrome. We went to a family-style diner, tons of food everywhere. You are sitting with strangers passing plates of food around. People commenting on how little I am eating and food sticking in my throat forcing it down with fluid, which makes dumping worse. I went through the struggles with an esophagectomy, total removal of my esophagus, all the complications with it, losing 100 pounds looking like a scarecrow now. All this and I still can't eat without a struggle. All I wanted to do is take my son and my wife out on a nice vacation. 20 years of this is quite enough. I suppose I will contact my GI Doctor to schedule another dilation of the surgical site and start on that wonderful powder medication to help with the dumping syndrome. wonderful.
