I'm in Australia, but was born in Bristol, and was finally diagnosed with achalasia at the age of 46 after years of symptoms and never ever being able to burp(!). You'll no doubt know by now that there are several UK members of the group - 'Jessie' and 'Jane ' are two I recall. Good luck with treatment choices - Jane's just had the surgical myotomy I think.
