Guest guest
Judy, I seem to be the only one in the Houston area! I'm holding up the Texas contingent of achalasians all by myself to my knowledge. If there are any other Texans or Louisiannans out there, speak up! Guest guest
Seems the northeast and the midwest/central states are leading the pack! What's in the water there?

Guest guest
The drinking water is actually some of the best in the country, it's the rain that depresses me. But, Money Magazine rated Portland the best city to live in the U.S. If they took away the rain and the booming cost of living, I would believe it, I love it here. --P. >>> lindwood@... 01/04/02 01:40PM >>> Seems the northeast and the midwest/central states are leading the pack! Guest guest
I am Wally Allan from Aloha OR., I have had Achalasia for 16 years. I have very good control with constant problems, but they only get out of control a few times a year, mostly when I am traveling. I have been following this Internet site trying to understand why this happens. I have been convinced recently that my case has a lot to do with my Sunken Chest Syndrome causing hypoventilation. How many have lung problems that might cause hypoventilation. I posted my remedy on this site 12/10/00 but it did not seem to help anyone. ---------- From: Davies[sMTP:daviespa@...] Sent: Friday, January 04, 2002 1:14 PM achalasia Subject: Re: Re: /what is your status I'm holding down the Northwest contigent of Achalasians in beautiful but rainy Portland, Oregon. Guest guest
, Oh well, I'll take the tide pools and the God-sent beauty of Portland over tornadoes and humid weather of Texas anyday! Is there any mountains in Texas? Ha Ha --P. >>> lindwood@... 01/04/02 06:06PM >>> I hear Portland has the best tide pools anywhere!
Guest guest
WALLY, Hello my fellow Oregonian, I live in Southwest Portland, about 6 miles from Aloha. I actually work in Aloha. I'm sorry to hear about your condition of Sunken Chest Syndrome w/ Achalasia. Hopefully this group will be helpful in answering any questions you might have. Hey, what's up with the rain? I haven't seen the sun in two months! --... >>> allan@... 01/04/02 02:30PM >>> I am Wally Allan from Aloha OR., I have had Achalasia for 16 years. Guest guest
actually, there are some very wonderful parts to Texas...Big Bend area has mountains and wonderful hiking...it's great in Late Fall, and Spring and most of winter. THe Texas Hill Country is gorgeous.....wonderful rivers and rapids, hiking, archeology, etc. I live in Houston, where I am pretty nature starved. We are drawn like magnets every summer to Central California Coast...Point Lobos and BIg Sur. Would give anything to live out there someday, but have to get really creative with our bank robbing skills, lol. The coast is nice, but of course, can't compare to yours. Our weather in Houston OTHER THAN SUMMER is great about 8 months a year. In the summer, you are right...it's the pits.
