Guest guest
Hello Everyone, The last time I wrote, I wasn't sure what to say. So I will tell you a little about my experience. I was diagnosed with Achalasia in september of 1992. I had my first balloon dilitation in October. I found out I was pregnant in January 1993. My esophagus started to close up again in early August. By the end of August I couldn't eat or drink anything. My daughter was born September 20th by C-cection. I am so thankfull that she was born perfectly healthy. I was so sick and weak that I thought I was going to die. I had my second balloon dilitation in December. That one lasted for seven years. I had my third balloon dilitation last summer. I still have some trouble swollowing. The problem I have is the pains. Sometimes the pain is so unbearable. My doctor told me last summer I had three choices. I could have botox injections, another balloon dilitation or myotomy. I chose the dilitation. Now I'm not sure I made the right choice. I'm not sure if I have the myotomy it will help with the pains. I can deal with my food going down slow. I know that stress has a lot to do with the pains, but I can not eliminate the stress in my life. I just have to learn how to handle it better. Thanks for listining.
