Guest guest
HELLO MY NAME IS SHARON, I HAVE BEEN TO A FEW OF THE MEETINGS THEY WERE SO HELPFUL TO ME, THANKYOU. I WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR ANY AND ALL INFORMATION YOU CAN PROVIDE TO ME IN REFERENCE TO GETTING MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO COVER MY SONS IMPERATIVE SPEECH THERAPY. I AM AT A LOSS AT THIS POINT, I CANNOT AFFORD IT ON MY OWN AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MY SONS FUTURE WILL HOLD WITHOUT IT. THANKYOU SHARON Kaitybug15@... Guest guest
I orginally went to CT and UHC denied coverage saying that I had two other providers that were considered in network and were within 50 miles. They gave me the choice of either a Starband or a Hanger Band. According to them, some policies have a clause in them that state they won't pay for Durable Medical Equipment. I was lucky, mine didn't have that specific clause. Hope that helps. Good Luck! BTW- I was hesitant about going with the Starband because I had only heard great things about CT. I have all great things to say about the Starband, it has been a great experience and we have not experienced any issues. > > > > > > From: sridevi sankarapu <sridevi_sankarapu@> > > > > Subject: Insurance Information > > Plagiocephaly > > Date: Thursday, Mar... > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello Friends > >  > > > > This is a great group and all the information being shared is so > encouraging. > >  > > We took our child to Cranial Tech at ndale and were hoping to get a > band soon, but our insurance is not covering the DOC band. Guest guest
Hi Sri, What insurance do you have? We went to CT in ndale and our insurance would not cover it. Did you ask your insurance company if they have an in network provider? MDIPA had their own in network provider and would cover a band from Hanger in Reston, VA and Star Cranial in Columbia, MD.
