It has been a year since I was diagnosed and then dilated. It,

needlessly to say, has changed my life, and my life style. I am

determined to live with this disease and hopefuly benefit from it. I

now practice Qi Quong; I eat consciously; I walk after meals; and when I

have spasms, they pass sooner if I relax. Limiting my carbohydrate

intake not only is good for swallowing, it has an added benefit of

weight control. If I can avoid a myotomy, it will be a success. So far,

so good. I hope to hear from others who are living with it.
