2 diagnoses= 1 confused parent

HI Group,

HOpe someone can help or give me some answers. a few months ago our

peditrtion though our son had apraxia and sent us to speech therapy

and now yesterday we recieved a written evaluation in the mail form

the speech therapst saying that he has APHASIA-language disorder.

I can not find the meaning of aphasia, I have been tothe apraxia web

sites. Does any one know if it is the same thing? All I can find on

the net is aphasia that has affected stroke patients and brain

damaged people. My son has had niether, also in the report were

terms like way behind in expressive and receptive lang. ( which I

knew about the expressive) that's why we sought medical help. and now

they say he has maladaptive behavior. I guess I'll ask for

clarification of terms.

any help or any one know of someone that has this please let me know.
