Guest guest
I am the mother of a 20 month old son with a speech delay. Things seem to be pointing towards Apraxia. He has mild hypotonia. I am totally obsessing with his progress. There is not a day that goes by that I do not cry. I completely over analyze all of his behavior and everything he does. Tommorow he has a speech therapist coming with his teacher that already comes through early intervention. My concern is that my son has alot of behavior that to me is normal two year old behavior but I feel like they are always trying to read into it and link it to something. For some reason, my son has not bonded with his teacher and he displays different behavior around her than he does with those that he is close to. Does anyone else experience this? My husband is in denial about the Apraxia and everything else which even makes it more difficult. Any advice from others would be appreciated.
