Guest guest
Anyone planning a trip to the Brookfield Zoo with an individual who appreciates visual supports? Go to this link & you can download a free 8-page set of a visual schedule originally produced by our friend and fellow advocate Carol Paske. Thank you Carol and thank you, Brookfield Zoo! It used to be this was only available for checkout at the zoo, but they’ve now cleverly added it to their website. Which is great because a) you’ll know it’s updated every year and you can go through the choices and set the schedule ahead of arrival at the zoo! I’ve been asking for this to be posted on their website for years (I’m sure others have, too) and today I found it there, filed under Accessibility. Yay!! Here’s the link: http://www.czs.org/CZS/Brookfield/Plan-Your-Day/Accessibility/2011-Visual-Schedu\ le-Book And for anyone with a free moment (HA!) who wants to take the time to say thank you to the zoo, I’m sure any calls they receive will be appreciated and duly noted. It always helps to reinforce desired behavior with a thank you call, you know. Here’s the number for their ADA Coordinator listed on the website: Call the Zoo’s ADA Coordinator at (708)-688-8338.
