Hi ,

I have just scheduled two great presenters for the March and April

Meetings.

The first one is March 29th at 7:30. Bissinger, a Brain Gym

Certified teacher will be presenting on the Benefits of the Brain Gym

Program and how we could utilize the methodology to help our children

feel more organized and ready to learn without the need for any

specialized equipment or a large allotment of time. The methods can

be adapted into any curriculum and the results can be both immediate

and long term. will be presenting in more of a workshop

format so that parents and team members will be able to participate

and see the results for themselves.

The second meeting being held on April 19th at 7:30 will be hosted by

a well known advocate, Mike Owens from the Arc of Montgomery County.

He will talk about effective strategies that can be utilized at an

IEP meeting as well as knowing when to use an advocate, and how they

can act as a mediator to get your points across and your goals

accomplished without the emotionality that may get in our way. I

will be posting additional information on these meetings in the near

future..Both meeting will be held at the Kencrest Plymouth Meeting

Office on the second floor of One Plymouth Meeting located at

the Plymouth Meeting Mall across from IKEA and the movie theatre.

Please E-mail with any questions, thoughts and of course an RSVP. I

will also have my membership forms ready for the next meeting.

Thanks,

Mauri Blefeld
