That is great. Good for her. It is too bad she has to deal with it at all, but

it sounds like she did well.

We had a couple of melt downs yesterday and some fighting with her sister today.

I know they are OCD related and due to exhaustion and over stimulation.

Hopefully things calm down now. We are already having melt downs over not

understanding how to use new toys and not wanting help. Fun fun.

We did a lot of ERP before, to help her be prepared and know how to handle

situations that might set her off. She is just tired now, over stimulated. We

need a few calm days.

Dina glad to hear she did so well - does stink that their lives are

ruined by this!!

Our OCD is OUT of cotrol the last few days - late nights? holidays?

maybe getting sick??? - something has her rituals SO long and intense

and her thinking she/clothes are dirty if things passed by not even

touched now - holy cow!! it's bad!! however - we tried not to ERP much

so she could have some kind of normal Christmas but of course it's

making it worse in the long run-she did better both days once we were

out and she was distracted or holding it together or something

bring on the therapy Jan 15th!!!

My favorite part of Festivus is the " Airing of Grievances. "

I've got a few, but unfortunately Dubya wouldn't accept my dinner

MM- thank you for the kind words, I know I'm not out of the woods yet

but I think you are right about me being on the way to wellness, now

if I could just get my calves and hamstrings to stop seizing up on

me, Id be in really great shape! I guess these things are rebelling

against the stuff I'm taking, it's weird to come to the realization

that they really are inside of my body as well. I didn't want to

accept that for quite awhile- this has all just been too weird to

fully accept and comprehend fully....

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We pray that peace of Jesus

has found its way into your hearts this Holiday Season of 2007!

I thought I would share a little bit of life in the Rettig Family this year.

The family enjoyed a RV memory this summer. We had the opportunity to travel to

's Homeland of " Canada " for a family reunion. It was such a blessing to meet

so many of his family. On our journey home, we visited Quebec City, Niagara

Falls, and Cedar Point, an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio.

(21) is at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He is continuing in the flight program

for his Pilot license. Graduation will be in March 2008 for his Wings. His

helicopter choice is the Scout 58. He is studying very hard and learning a great

deal. is looking forward to coming home over the holidays. Holly, 's

girlfriend, is attending Carroll College in Waukesha for Nursing.

(18) is a senior at Shoreland Lutheran High .He started the first semester

with high honors. had a great season playing football. He will also play

basketball and baseball. is pursing an Air force or Army ROTC scholarship

for Nursing /PA program at Marquette College. After graduation, this summer

will be going to Guatemala with the Spanish 4 class. See you all at his

graduation party

Jaclyn (11) is in 6th grade at Trinity Lutheran. Jaclyn loves being

active--volleyball, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, junior choir, and

Lutheran girl pioneers. (She is excited because her Mom is the new leader this

year) Jaclyn is venturing out and learning to play the Flute. This summer,

Jaclyn had experienced her first week-long camp in Crivitz WI. She also her

very favorite horse camp.

Charisma (12) is in 6th grade at Trinity Lutheran School. Charisma is experience

playing volleyball and basketball for the first time. She will continue with

cheerleading, girl pioneers and junior choir. Charisma is also learning to play

the violin. Summer camps where also fun for her.

Grandma Elaine has made a major change in her life. She has moved to an elderly

housing complex in Oak Creek--Booth Manor (her new phone number is

414-768-0777). She is enjoying meeting new friends and all the activities they

have planned for them.

Joe Siekert (our third, practically adopted, son) also joined the army this past

year. Joe has recently been sent to Iraq. We ask for your prayers and support.

We are so proud of Jake, Joe, and all of our service men and women. You serve

our great nation and give us our precious freedom! Any information for Military

support, is involved in the National Blue Star Chapter in Racine and local

PMM (proud Military moms group) drettig@...

Merry Christmas to you and Jan. Sounds like you are having a wonderful day

too.

Christmas has been a nonstop event since we woke up this morning. It took

nearly three hours to open presents, then we had lunch, and now I am working on

Christmas dinner. Soon, Santa will visit again and hand out cards and

stockings.

and the two oldest kids are in California this Christmas as she still

has some things to take care of before returning home next summer. called

as we started opening presents and we were able to have her on the phone while

we did that.

is already tired out. Both he and have been a little bit sick

with colds and coughs but have enjoyed Christmas to the max.

Although I have already wished everyone a Merry Christmas, I wish them one

again. It is already over in most parts of the worlds but we have 8-10 hours

left of it in our country, depending where you live.

Well I must check the stuff in the oven.

I want to wish you all happy holidays and a healthy New Year. We are so fortunate to have this support group you have all help us. By reading your stories and questions we have learned so much so we thank you all. Ronny had his cast changed this week at SLC and everything went well. We want to especially thank the Poland family for the adorable "Bud E", it is the cute bear with a cast on that they gave us when Ronny had his cast changed. and Ronny just loves him. It was also very nice to meet Hollie and Jonas we shared the room and the boys got a chance to meet after they got their casts on. Take care everyone and have a safe and wonderful holiday!

I hope all of you have a Safe Healthy Holiday Season.
