Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am wondering if there is some law or rule that says the school is not to drop a special ed child off if there is no one there to receive him? I got home before the time the bus usually arrives and my son is outside crying, neighbors had come out because he had been in a panic. He broke the window on the door banging on it because I did not answer. Clearly my car was not here and usually the bus does not leave until they see me wave to them. My son was really scared and now I have a broken window that I cannot afford to fix. And it is luck that he did not get cut! My son said that the bus driver said that he saw me, but obviously he didn't since I was not here. And they just drove away!
Guest guest
Check your IEP and if it's not there, have it added. But first contact your program coordinator and complain. > > Hi Everyone, > > I am wondering if there is some law or rule that says the school is not to drop a special ed child off if there is no one there to receive him? > > I got home before the time the bus usually arrives and my son is outside crying, neighbors had come out because he had been in a panic. Guest guest
Thank you, I will do that. It is not in his IEP, but up until today, they had always made sure they saw me. > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > I am wondering if there is some law or rule that says the school is not to drop a special ed child off if there is no one there to receive him? > > > > I got home before the time the bus usually arrives and my son is outside crying, neighbors had come out because he had been in a panic.
