Guest guest
My son is almost 4 and has been on an omega-3 for two weeks now. He has the vocabulary of an adult, but is only understood by me. I have noticed him using more, or different words lately, but I have a hard time noticing clearer words, since I've become very fluent in his language. I have however noticed that he is -for lack of a better word-stuttering. He'll say, " Can we, can, can we, go outside? " . I've never noticed this before. Could it be that he has so much to get out that he is trying to get it out as fast as he can? Should I bring it to his attention? I also wondered, he has an appointment with his pedetrician next week and I wanted to get a referral for either a pedetric neurologist or a developemental specialist--Which would be better. He has never been actually diagnoised with apraxia, but his speech teacher says he shows signs. From what I have read, he does have verbal apraxia.
