Check your local listings for it. It addresses the issue of cell towers, in fact shows the huge array of antennas all over NY. One of the points made in it, by Blake Levitt, a researcher in the field, is that people who use cell phones don't make the connection that their call causes an action at a tower, which directly impacts the health of those who live near it. Like those folks spraying 'a little' Roundup who don't admit to themselves that families living downwind from Monsanto are being poisoned. The issue of cell towers is only ignored by the mainstream media. Activists in the environmental health movement who have been active around EMF/EMR issues for years, have always focused particularly on towers and antennas. In various parts of the world activists have taken exciting direct actions, including dismantling towers themselves. " Full Signal " gives a couple of examples, and one site that covers such activism is _http://next-http:/_ (http://next-up.org/) All the attention being given to cell phones now is everyone catching up to what these activists have known for a long time. People are still trying to figure out how this is affecting them individually, and the cell phones in their hands easily obscure the view of the infrastructure that make them work. That magical thinking about wireless technology is being pushed on our children aggressively, in fact wireless toys have become alarmingly common even for babies. But there are grassroots efforts all over the place, of communities fighting back against cell towers in their areas. The Town of Fairfax, in Marin County, California, has outlawed them in town, and has extended their ban to wireless automatic 'Smart' meters (citing a franchise agreement as legal justification)A Please also check out the important documentary by my dear friends of the Environmental Options Network (EON), also active in Marin County, called " Public Exposure: DNA, Democracy, and the Wireless Revolution " , which they make available in full, online, here: _http://www.youtube.http://wwwhttp://www.yo_ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJbCa-MZwXM) --- On Wed, 31/8/11, jw <_harpub@..._ (mailto:harpub@...) > wrote: From Jim West _http://harpub.http:_ (http://harpub.co.cc/) I'm finding this clearly, through person experience, visiting the countryside and talking to people, where cell towers are newly installed. Birds and wildlife quickly disappear, either killed, disoriented, or avoiding cell tower areas, due to electronic RADIATION. The mainstream focus on cell-phones (not towers) is valid yet myopic misinfo, as it avoids the disaster of cell TOWER RADIATION. The mainstream focus on phones sells more phones, as individuals try to buy new technology to avoid phone radiation, but the tower problem is not solvable except through silence propaganda. Just look at the cell relay antennae that are affixed to NYC apartment roofs near windows and ceilings. 500 watts per channel allowed by gov, 24/7 exposure. Disorientation of birds has been reported from Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Migratory birds from Siberia are now landing on new spots every winter and some never reach the destination. Similarly, a study conducted by three departments of Panjab University has found that cell phone towers are the dominating source of electromagnetic radiation in environment and this could lead to diseases in plants and animals. Because of this, butterflies, some insects and birds like sparrows could vanish in coming days, Ansari added. "
