Guest guest
Hey -- you’ve got it, Jessie. Percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen (Tylenol is acetaminophen) and it isn’t time-release, the tablet could be broken up into chunks if needed. I can’t see any problem with birth control pills. But don’t forget to ask if you’re put on antibiotics after surgery. Some antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of BCP’s and alternative forms of contraception need to be used. Sandy Re: Digest Number 83 I think both Percocet and birth control pills should go down fine. I'd have to check the percocet composition at work on Monday (or maybe Sandy the pharmacist knows the answer) but I don't think it contains any aspirin. Guest guest
Thanks for all the useful information, I am an experienced RD, but new to the group and have recently seen a huge increase in the number of clients considering bariatric surgery. I have an unrelated question regarding the CDR's certification on weight management. Has anyone taken this course? Was it helpful? Is it more for someone with or without current practice and experience? I would appreciate any comments. Guest guest
I took the course last May. It is very basic. Good info but if you've been practicing a while, you'll probably not learn anything new. Guest guest
hi to all the new group members. I have learned one thing through this board is that everyone's experiences are different but all positive. To zigglycline, I had my hip replaced last fall. I was also 42. No you are not too young!! I am still using a cane due to a rare complication but the surgery has given me my life back. I can keep up with my very active 4 year old and my husband has a smile on his face most of the time...lol. The surgery has given me my life back. I enjoy doing so many of the things I dreaded before because I knew it would be painful. Go for it...you won't be sorry. P I also go to the Florida Ortho. clinic. Who is your doc?? Have a great day everyone. Jodi
