Hi all

Just a quick recap--I have a pitutiary tumor which I had 2 surgeries and

radiation ending in March of 2005. I am guessing I am starting to see low term

side affects of the radiation as I am tired more, have really dry skin and feel

like I loosing some muscle mass evan though I am exercising regularily. Also I

am gaining weight slowly evan though I have great pickup up my activity level

and I am watching what I am eating. SO.....

Question for you. I go for more indepth Growth Hormone testing on Monday. I

don't know the full name of the test but they said I will be given an IV where

hormones will be given and then blood will be drawn prior to admin of meds and

then at 30 minute intervals for 2 hrs. Anyways I am doing this test because my

IGF-1 test levels where in the low 50 with the low end of normal at 72. So here

are my questions for you since I know some of you already take growth hormone

1) should the test show that I am deficient what questions should I ask the Dr

2) what would you expect a normal dose to start at. I am 31 years old. --I

know you can get to high of a dose and have all kinds of side affects so just

curious about what I should question if the dose is way off of the normal here.

3) anyone have reoccuances after starting growth hormone???

Anything else that anyone can think of would be great. OH and for those that

are on growth hormone what improvements did you see after starting it? What

side affects did you see? Did you feel like it was definately worth taking?

And any chance it will help with the chronic dry skin I have?

Thanks in advance you guys are great.

Sara
