The debate over whether or not people need to do colon cleanses is one

that just goes on and on.

Personally, from all I've seen, those who support the use of regular

colonics go overboard with their claims, and personally, I don't think

colonics are necessary.

This particular site says, at one point, " You'll be amazed when you see

foods you haven't eaten in 2 or 3 years. " (As in, " Gee---there's that

broccoli pizza I had at Pizza Hut in 2004! " ??) Even IF you had " food in

you that you hadn't eaten in 2 or 3 years, I'd bet ANYTHING you could

NEVER identify, after 2 or 3 years, what it was!

Well, IF you are someone who believes in colonics, this device might

save you money, time and concerns about cleanliness. But I have spoken

to at least one doctor who used to do autopsies, and who told me that

the colons of very old people she examined, the colons of 70 and 80-

year-old people, who ate no special diet, were squeaky clean.

And I have met naturopaths who strongly recommended colon cleansing---

apparently to " get rid of " impacted fecal matter " and " bad bacteria, " "

and I have met naturopaths who strongly recommended NOT to do colon

cleansing because such strong cleansing throws off the balance of

bacteria in the colon.

I figure that if I am eating an 80 to 90 percent raw diet, am juicing

regularly, am rebounding regularly and haveing well-formed bowel

movements 2-5 times a day, that I can do without the colon cleanses,

thank you.

But for those who feel colon cleansing needs to be a part of what they

do for their health, this " colema board " might be of interest to them:

By the way, I did have a series of colonics done at a naturopath's

years ago, and I personally noticed no difference between the way I

felt prior to having the treatments and afterwards.
