Guest guest
" The whole acid alkaline thing is a myth " Well, hold on. If you were acid where you were supposed to be alkaline, or vice versa, or if there were a SHIFT in the overall level, you don't think that would be a problem? Not to mention that blood pH is critical. (Any basic student of biochemistry knows about alkalosis/acidosis.) The original post even recognizes these things, so it's kind of self-contradictory. Beyond that, this issue may just be another way of expressing, not to mention an important aspect of, BALANCE. And THAT'S pretty fundamental. Posted by: " szukidavis@... Saliva- should be acidic because it will kill bacteria in the mouth Oral thrush and other mouth bacteria grow when it is to alkaline 2.Urine already explained 3. Intestines- need to be acidic for the good bacteria to grow properly 4.Blood- body regulates blood ph- if even out of a small narrow range that is regulated, you would die instantly. Guest guest
Bob and Sally, Where can I find this outside of the forum. I know a fully akaline body would be a dead one ,but have read on many websites to go toward 80% akalinie helps kill cancer. I'll try to retrace my steps tomorrow and find one or two again. Guest guest
Macriobiotics deals with the issue. For starters, there's a classic book " Acid & Alkaline " by Herman Aihara.
