Guest guest
Hi guys I am an average donater. I thought they do something good for cancer research. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I did not think a charitable society like this could be so corrupted. Michele cures for cancer wrote: Cancer Cures, Treatments, Sources, Links Messages In This Digest (1 Message) 1. Re: Supporting American Cancer Society at no cost Posted by: " breathedeepnow " aug20@... breathedeepnow Wed Dec 6, 2006 8:37 pm (PST) Hi, Michele. I am very surprised you are suggesting members support the ACS. They are part of the cancer industry, and through their actions, as well as their lack of action, they are causing more people than need be to get cancer, are causing more suffering of people who have cancer, and more deaths from cancer. Two reasons why: They are not doing nearly enough to identify and to eliminate the causes of cancer. They do everything they can to discourage people diagnosed with cancer from doing anything for it other than chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Every single alternative thing that is available to people, the ACS criticizes, saying it is " dangerous " or " unproven " or otherwise not to be taken. Meanwhile, 100,000 people a year DIE from taking " safe, " properly prescribed drugs, INCLUDING chemotherapy. Just look at the name of the organization: It's not " The American Cancer Prevention Society, " or " The American Cancer Research Society, " or " The American Cancer Treatment Society. " No---it's " The American CANCER Society. " That name unintentionally points up the reason for the existence of The American Cancer Society: to feed on itself, to be self-serving and self-perpetuating, with no real eye on curing cancer, or even of helping those with cancer have a good quality of life. It is a terrible organization, which ought to be dissolved, and a proper " American Cancer Research Society " ought to be created, one that would concentrate on finding and eliminating the causes of cancer, and one that would be open to ALL forms of treatment, and that would do all it could to protect people with cancer from being brutalized by chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. I wouldn't give one penny to the ACS. They are rotten to the core. > > Hello to everyone, > I guess most of you have heard of the organization American Cancer > Society. Guest guest
I believe there is a place for mainstream treatment, but ONLY AFTER THE FAILURE OF GENTLE, NON-TOXIC treatments. To me, holism means taking into account ALL possible treatments. But this business today of doing immediate mastectomies, immediate surgery, immediate chemotherapy is NUTS in far too many cases. And, as I have said, PREVENTION needs to take a FAR HIGHER PRIORITY than it does now. I am thankful my condemnation of The American Cancer Society is being echoed by members of this forum. They are truly a farce, and it makes me practically retch each time I see my area pulling off another " Race For the Cure " or other stupidity. There is a great cartoon I saw of the " race for the cure. " It showed a drug-company executive being carried along like a Roman Emperor by runners, in front of whom he was dangling a carrot, which was labeled " chemotherapy.
