Teens with Down Syndrome Needed to Participate

in a Weight Loss Study (E.K. Shriver

Center, Waltham MA)

Specific Location: E.K. Shriver Center, Waltham MA

Posting Description:

Health U. is a study for teenagers (ages 13-21) with DOWN SYNDROME who are

overweight. The study emphasizes a sensible, balanced diet and achievable

levels of

physical activity geared toward weight loss and health promotion.

Classes and visits take place at the Shriver Center in Waltham, MA. Participation

is free and

open to teens with DOWN SYNDROME only and their families.

Health U. starts in March 2008 but screening and enrollment visits are taking

place now.

*Saturday Jan. 12 from 10 am to 2 pm

*Wednesday Jan. 16 from 5 pm to 8 pm
