Read the latest update now by using this link: www.caringbridge.org/visit/lukehaskell Luke had a good night of weaning. He is tolerating the wean but we are having a bit of a problem with the cath site (artery) bleeding. It just won't clot off because of all the blood thinners he is on. Can't stop them because of the ECMO machine...so they applied a pressure bandage...I am praying that it works. They keep having to give him blood to make up for all he is loosing..using the blood store that we have begun up in a hurry. Going to have to have a blood drive just to supply Luke. His chest xray looks amazingly better this morning. I am relieved...no edema. So I am waiting for rounds to know more... I will update again after rounds...been really busy around here so it may be a while. Hey, how bout those sox! Even sweet Magie dressed for the game. Rod said it was a " laughah " . Guess it wasn't exciting enough for him...for me it was a sign...easy for them...easy for Luke..home run right from the start and from the little guy...I am going to go....please remember to pray and BELIEVE
