Inclusion in Phoenix, Arizona area

Hi everyone!

We may be moving to Arizona - probably the Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Mesa

area. Does anyone live around there that can give me information on how the

schools are doing with inclusion? Also, does Arizona have good community

supports for adults with disabilities?

Thanks for any help you can give me. If there are particular areas that we

should check out for good schools, let me know. My husband, , has a

close relative that lives in Gold Canyon, but we're open to living anywhere

in the Phoenix area.

I haven't posted for awhile - most people know us from our daughter who

is now 9 years old with DS and she had leukemia, and then relapsed leukemia.

She finished her chemo treatments in January of this year, and she's back in

school part-time now. She's doing great. We go in for her

2-month-off-treatment checkup on Thursday. Time sure goes faster off

treatment than on!
