Guest guest
I think I've missed the original thread but I'm gathering that there are two surveys involving due dates and sleeping habits of our children with DS. All of my kids were born on or before their due dates. Cristen (11, DS) was born 2 weeks early and Dylan (8) was born 2 weeks early. Ethan (6) was born on his due date and ie (3) was born five days early. I've never heard the moon theory and I'm fascinated. I wish that I'd heard of it when my kids were born. The moon has a strong pull on our bodies and the ocean tides. I didn't work (outside the home) when I was pregnant, but I took ballet up until they were born. I was in early labor while I was in class with the last two. fI also drank red raspberry tea which is supposed to tone the uterus for childbirth. All of my labors and deliveries were easy and uncomplicated (although I didn't think so while going through them). Sleeping habits...Cristen is definately a restless sleeper. We have seen her actually walk at night, come downstairs, etc. She has to sleep with the hallway light on, used to have to have the light on in her room but is slowly weaning off the light at night. She sleeps in strange positions. I wonder if the sleep difficulties are related to low seritonin but I'm not willing to medicate my child to find out. I have noticed that she seems to be mildly depressed some days and have wondered if this is sleep related. So far it is not really severe enough to take any action. Cristen is very happy in school and I think she was lonely at home before. RE: sort of survey.. > --2 1/2 weeks early > -- 2 weeks early > -- 1 week late > I worked up until they were born for and I took off two weeks before was born. My doctor told me that women who work right up to their due date have babies earlier, true in my case. Also, folk lore has it that births cluster around full moon and new moon days. Mine did this too. in Kentucky > > > Click reply to all for messages to go to the list.
