Guest guest
Liam got a great gift from Santa. It's a bin with three sliding drawers in it filled with Crayola crayons, markers, pencils, paints and coloring books. I hid it away until we could use it together, but he found it and decided to explore the colorful world of Crayola on his own. Sesame Street was on, so I thought it was safe to logon to the computer. I should have been suspicious when I heard him giggle. He had stripped off his clothes and was coloring his body with markers. Well it's all non-toxic, but did you realize it's not always washable? I sure didn't. After two baths, he still looks like a little tatooed man. Any ideas on how to safely remove graffitti from a child will be gratefully accepted! Guest guest
I bet we all have a good graffiti story. Still getting pounded by snow so have a few minutes to tell a good one. My husband and I have been building our house for a couple of years. We finally got all the walls painted a beautiful butter yellow and were so pleased. One day my two oldest 12, 16 were left with when he was about 8 for the afternoon. I called them and was told was being good and keeping busy. Great no trouble. I came home to find a very long wavey pencil line going all away from the lower entry way up the stairs down a 8ft. hall to the deck glass doors. I was hoppin mad and called to come pronto. He came with his head hanging while his siblings started defending themselves on how they didn't see him ect. I told them we would talk private and would have to tell me what happend here because " I know Liz and Zach would not write on the walls. " He just stood there and I calmed down and told him I needed him to use his words and tell me just what he was doing using pencils on the wall instead of paper or coloring books. (you can see he had done this before and had seemed to learn not to do it.)He told me after some seriose thought that it was a mountain and he needed a lot of room. Now this is one Mom who can't resist a good explanation. So I did not laugh or smile though I wanted to and explained to him I do not need a mountain or any other drawings on the wall that we would hang any that he would put on paper. So far no more art work directly on the walls and the mountain is still there because mom likes a good drawing.
