Guest guest
Hi , Let me see if I have this correct now. Illinois MENTOR could come into play if/when an individual is approved for CILA funding (or possibly thought they could privately pay for residential services out of pocket). The MENTOR or HOST HOME model could be an alternative to a traditional group home model, is that right, or do you have to get special approvals for it even after securing CILA funding? We have a lot of new IPADD members with young adults approaching the end of public school transition services. We have varying degrees of understanding about the costs associated with residential placements, as well as about how difficult or easy it is to get publicly funded residential. Could you comment on either the costs associated with, say, a year of residential living/services and the number of ‘newly funded’ families you had the opportunity to work with last year? Thanks so much. This is such helpful information for us to have. L.
