FYI

L'Arche USA is currently seeking a new leader for our Central U.S. Region.

Jo Anne Horstmann is stepping down from the role of Regional Coordinator at

the end of October 2011 following ten years of service. We have not yet

found someone who can assume this role. We are thus casting the net wider

to let our good friends know of this opening, in hope that you are aware of

an individual within your circle of friends and colleagues who might be

suited for this position.

The Regional Coordinator supervises and supports the six L'Arche communities

in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Mobile, ville (FL), and Clinton,

IA, as well as our emerging community in Atlanta. The full role description

is attached. We are seeking a leader who:

* Is a person of faith;

* Has background in ministry/lay ministry and/or non-profit

leadership;

* Has experience with people with intellectual disabilities or with

other people living on the margins of our society; and

* Would be drawn to the mission and vision of L'Arche for our world.

We also are seeking someone who currently lives in, or could move to, one of

the 7 cities listed above where we have (or will soon have) a L'Arche

community in the Central Region.

Do you know someone who fits this profile? Please feel free to circulate

this role description, and invite anyone interested to contact me at

joanm@...<mailto:joanm@...> or 503-227-3694. Our target

date for receipt of resumes and cover letters is October 31st.

We are eager to find the right person for this important leadership position

within L'Arche USA. I would be most grateful for your help.

Peace and blessings to you,

Joan
