seminar:

Bridges to the " Real World "

Monday, September 26

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Laschen Community Center

294 Evergreen Drive . Vernon Hills

The objective of our forum is to raise awareness of

the resources available to individuals with

autism/developmental disabilities and their families.

Even in these difficult economic times, there are programs, local provider

agencies, and individual entities that can assist families in accessing valuable

resources for their family members.

The evening will include presentations on:

.. Special education and special recreation

.. Government benefits, guardianship and futures planning

.. Legal rights

.. Independent Service Coordination: Entering the system to qualify for services

.. Current legislation

There also will be opportunities for questions & answers and discussions among

family members.
