When parents can finally take time to breathe and their child is no longer teetering on critical care and developmental struggles, they are able to better direct their effort on nutrition as a means to further help their child's health, growth and overall development. This talk will address assessing a child's current nutrition state, adjustments for special needs, and goal setting. Participants will be able to understand the basics of nutrition for growth and development. The interplay of nutrition, feeding and tolerance will be highlighted as well. Baranoski is Manager of the Nutrition Department and Feeding Clinic Coordinator at Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region in Villa Park, Illinois. Space is limited.
