Coordination Subcommittee Meeting

" Due to the level of interest expressed, and after

allocating space for committee members, presentation guests and required staff,

we regret that we cannot confirm in-person attendance for the November 15, 2011,

Care Coordination Subcommittee meeting. All confirmations to attend in-person

are revoked. Attendance at both the Chicago and Springfield locations will be on

a first-come, first-served basis. However, we will be offering a “listen

only†Dial-In Option for the meeting. To listen to the meeting dial

1-877-402-9757 and use Participant Code: 8876267. Following the meeting, please

feel free to submit your comments and questions to HFS.CareCoord@...

If your interest in the meeting is mainly to keep

informed on the development of the Innovations Project, we respectfully request

that you use the Dial-In Option. This will allow space for those wanting to

actively participate, and in particular give input on the performance and

quality measures for the Innovations Project, to attend in-person. Additional

meeting material for the November 15, 2011, meeting has been posted on the

Medicaid Advisory Committee’s Web site at:

We appreciate your continued support of the Innovations

Project and will keep you informed as developmentsmove forward. "

The Ligas Consent Decree is going to have major positive

implications for the Illinois Disability Service System for years to come.3, 000

individuals will move off the Illinois Waiting list in the next six years. In

the next 19 months, 1,000 people will move! Any of the 6,000 individuals in an

ICFDD, over a six year period, will be able to transition into the most

integrated community-based setting of their choice! The Illinois Disability

System will expand by about 30%! The court has ruled that this decree must be

funded regardless of what our friends in the Capitol say!

Are you, or do you love, a person with a developmental

disability who needs quality community services?
