Guest guest
Hi all: I am sending this, including Matt's personal note to me because so often people have inquired about these kinds of services...I am also including the attachment. Matt worked for our Special Rec Assn and he also was a Peer Mentor in Noah's highschool classroom. I remember him to be a warm and wonderful young man. I also inquired and he does see young adults, as do others in his group. He also said that others in his group specialize in the care of young and older adults with I/DD. Here is the attachment: P. (pediatric psychologist) Hello, Ellen: My name is Dr. Matt Richmond. You may remember me from " back in the day " in Northbrook (i.e., peer mentoring at GBN in the late 1990's), or possibly in relation to my late mother, Marla Richmond. The reason that I am writing today is because of an awareness that you are a very active leader in the autism parent community. In this regard, I have just completed residency in developmental pediatric psychology and have joined a local health psychology practice, wherein my role will be to help lead a specialty program to serve families of children with developmental disabilities (i.e., ASD, etc.), as well as the families of children with chronic medical concerns (i.e., spina bifida, etc.). As such, I was hoping that you might be willing to consider helping me to share with others about my work, such that my colleagues and I might be of assistance to as many families as possible. A little bit about or practice... Our practice is called Primary Care Psychology Associates, LLC. In addition to our main northern suburban office in Northfield, along with our Lincoln Park office which is run in partnership with Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group (NMPG), we have just opened new offices in the south suburbs in Orland Park. One special feature of each of our offices is that we are able to offer either onsite (in Chicago at NMPG SoNo Pediatrics) or very nearby (NMPG Northbrook for our north shore office) primary pediatric care with affiliated pediatricians. All of our pediatricians focus at least a portion of their practice in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics while also offering primary This allows for the families we serve to maintain a medical home with us. We specialize in treating and evaluating children with developmental disabilities (i.e., autism spectrum, etc.) as well as children with chronic medical conditions (i.e., spina bifida, etc.). We also have the ability to see typically developing children and their families for a range of behavioral or learning-related concerns. Please see the attached summary of our services, which also includes some background information about me as one of the primary pediatric psychologists for the practice. After reviewing the services we offer and learning some more about what we can contribute to the community, please feel free to contact us and/or to share our information with others. We would also be happy to provide free in-services for parent groups and/or organizations on a range of topics related to the typical and atypical aspects of learning, development, and behavior for a range of special populations. Finally, for the benefit of other members of the community with which you might interact, please note that our overall practice includes a broad scope of services for individuals with a wide range of concerns from birth to adulthood. ******** In the event that you would have any additional questions after reviewing the enclosed document, please feel free to contact me for more information at (847) 686-0090 x9 or via email at drmattrichmond@.... Thank you very much for your kind consideration. Regards, Matt Richmond, Psy.D. -- Matt Richmond, Psy.D.
