Guest guest
Best advice I heard was to turn up at DHS with a dated, written request for a return phone call or appointment. On it give your child's name & SSN, your name, and phone. Just drop it off and go home. DHS is overworked, but like all government agencies, they don't ignore paper. -Gail From: grzywa@... <grzywa@...> Subject: Home based Waiver 18 year old IPADDUnite Date: Sunday, July 31, 2011, 9:50 AM  My son turned 18 in March, gets the homebased waiver, and will be in school until 22. I'm getting conflicting answers from the agencies I work with but what I've read is that we don't have to do anything until he's turning 22. The waiver can just stay as is, correct? I tried calling the Department of Human Services in DuPage County last week and the phone just rang and rang when I selected talking to a person. May be they're getting a jump on the government shutting down? Thanks. __________________________________________________________ 57 Year Old Mom Looks 27!
