I just learned that one of my patients is a personal friend of the person who

started this organization.

If you have time & are intested in participating in the remote area medical usa

medical dental experience they will have a clinic in Chicago in a few weeks

Volunteers are

needed to provide the following services : DENTAL: Cleanings, fillings,

extractions. Pediatric dentistry is available.

VISION: Vision exam and free prescription glasses made onsite. (NOTE: As time

and supplies permit - May not be able to make glasses for everyone.)

MEDICAL: General medical consults

Services provided by Remote Area Medical® volunteers are intended for the

uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, underemployed, and those who cannot afford

to pay. Services are provided by volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, dental

hygeinists, dental assistants, ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and

other trained health professionals.

PATIENTS All services are FREE and are offered on a first-come, first-served

basis, with no elegibility requirements.
