Reason they are not more popular is because of their approaches but effective enough where people without autism are afraid to really speak against them. I have autism but in a different way then their leadership. they are full of tricks and I 100% will support the audacity to speak against them as other parents and some self-advocates do. They have been mean, mal-interpretive and politically are very much a bully and as some have spoken against them people are made out to be monsters for doing so.
