Hi all:

I am forwarding 's request along with a cut and paste of the flyer...you

can contact for more information or call 847-221-7859.

While IPADDU's focus is community inclusion, including school inclusion, I have

(sadly) seen some students fail due to failure in the community systems that

should be better prepared to address all learning styles and

challenges...therefore, I am posting this as an alternative to some who might

benefit, since we clearly do not live in an ideal world.

Children ages 10-13 will benefit from:

.. 1:1 Instruction

.. Occupational Therapy

.. Speech and Language Therapy

.. Play Therapy

.. Social Recreation Therapy

.. Social Skills Training

.. Music Therapy

.. Physical Education

.. Computer Resources

.. Community Inclusion and Integration

.. Career Training

.. Independent Living Skills

.. Psychiatric and Psychological Consultation

.. School Health Services

.. Art Therapy

.. After-School Programming

The ChildBridge Center for Education will provide progressive

services for students with severe and profound needs on the autism

spectrum. Students may be identified as having Autism, Pervasive

Developmental Delay, Cognitive Disabilities, other Health Impairments,

Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disability, Learning Disabilities,

Traumatic Brain Injury or Speech Language Impairment.

While taking advantage of available community resources, the Day

School will also make full use of recreational and support service

options stationed across Little City's spacious 56-acre campus including:

.. Specialized playground

.. Recreation center

(equipped with a Fitness Center, game rooms, swimming pool, gymnasium)

.. On-site medical and dental center

.. Dietary/Nutrition service

Introducing Little City's

ChildBridge Center for Education-

a leading-edge therapeutic day school opening this August 24, 2011

Little City Therapeautic Day School

Ellen,

I am a member of IPADD (mother of 24 year old son with Down syndrome) and on

staff of Little City Foundation. In August we started a therapeutic day school

and we are trying to get the word out. If you feel it is appropriate, could you

share the attachments with the other members of the IPADD group. I know the

listserv is intended to share resources and information for adults, but many of

us also know families with younger children with developmental disabilities.

On another note, I have enjoyed being a member of IPADD for the past couple of

years and am grateful for the wonderful information it provides. Oftentimes, I

get better information in the IPADD emails than I can get at work!
