Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that Tom of Law will speak to us about Wills,

Special Needs Trusts and Guardianship for families of children with autism at

our Oct. 15th Crystal Lake TACA meeting. He himself is the father of an 8-year

old boy with autism, and his entire career has been devoted to estate planning

law. He now focuses on estate planning for special needs families.

Saturday, October 15, 2011

4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Home State Bank

Community Meeting Room on basement level

611 S. Main Street

Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Tom is an estate planning law attorney, a graduate from Purdue University

and IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a member of the Chicago Estate Planning

Council and the Chicago Bar Association. His entire career has been focused on

the field of estate planning, guardianships, and trust administration, giving an

in-depth knowledge and understanding of trust and estate law solutions. Prior to

starting his own estate planning law practice, he spent 15 years administering

trusts and estates for three of Chicago's largest trust departments. During this

time, he represented clients with net worths ranging from $50,000 to

$50,000,000.

Along with his wife, Molly, Tom is a lifelong resident of Oak Park. They have

been together for over 21 years and have an eight-year old son, Jack, who has

autism. They are active in the Autism community and are members of various local

and national organizations supporting special needs children. Being a parent of

a child with autism gives him an appreciation and understanding of children with

special needs. Tom's experience, both personal and professional, enables him to

ask the right questions, make practical recommendations and provide effective

solutions for each client's estate planning and trust administration needs. The

first half of Tom's presentation will focus on general estate planning (wills

and trusts) that applies to all adults. The focus of the second half of the

presentation will be planning for special needs children. Trusts and

guardianship will specifically be discussed.

Sorry, child care is not available at TACA meetings.
