If they refuse, don't send your child there. Transparency is crucial in a therapeutic setting. If they will not let you in, you must wonder why. When I was looking for an alternative place for two of my children I went on this site. You can call and ask for tours. If they don't allow you to tour the school, that is one BIG huge red flag. Schools should have an open door policy. Good luck, I hope you find a placement that meets your child's needs. Take your time and look carefully at each school. Talk and watch the students. We made sure that it would be a good fit for our son. We had several meetings with the school. I am happy to say that our son is doing very well.
