Guest guest
Maybe Walgreens did not want the aggravation...or the slow pay. Are other major pharmacy chains even doing the Aetna Managed Care ESI? Walmart? Dominick's? Jewel/Osco? CVS? -Gail ________________________________ From: Jerue Family <jeruefamily@...> IPADDUnite Sent: Saturday, November 5, 2011 9:40 AM Subject: Re: Re: Walgreens pulls out of Aetna managed care  Guess I’m also wondering what, if anything, this says about our friends at Walgreens...I’ve had them way up high on a pedestal for a long time, not sure how to process this news. Guest guest
I’m sure you’re right about the aggravation and payment issues, Gail, and I know they’re a for-profit business. I probably shouldn’t have posted what I did – don’t know about the others you mention either – we’ll get more information and share it as we do. Sometimes I get a little emotional. L. Guest guest
Our son uses the pharmacy at Dominicks and, so far, they have accepted the Aetna insurance for his medication. Will keep you updated if this changes. Guest guest
All walgreens client will end up at cvs and walgreens will be lose a lot a cash Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with Nextel Direct Connect Re: Walgreens pulls out of Aetna managed care I would like to know WHY they pulled out. Seems having 6,000 customers pull out at the same time would NOT be a wise decision. They are supposed to get paid more promptly than Medicaid alone. I have a good story about Managed care/Aetna Better Health. I took Kim to the Ear Institute of Chicago on the way to Springfield 2 weeks ago. Two prescriptions were ordered. We needed to fill them before we came home in 2 days. I called ABH to find out what to do. They said ANY CVS in the state would fill the orders. I was expecting a hassle when we got to the pharmacy in Springfield. NO PROBLEM! IT was filled and taken care of in 20 minutes.
