Siemens Corporation welcomes our Disability Awareness Players!

The JJ's List Disability Awareness Players are out and about spreading the

word about disability-awareness again! This time, we were invited to present two

sessions to staff at international engineering, energy and healthcare

powerhouse, Siemens Corporation. With our custom-presentation, jam packed with

fun and interactive demonstrations, Siemens staff enjoyed learning about

Person-First Language and role-playing various scenarios involving people with

disabilities in the workplace. They also walked away with a renewed sense of

confidence about interacting with people with disabilities. Thanks to everyone

at Siemens for being so welcoming!

Digital Literacy is for All Abilities. Teach it right.

The SPILLS team received a very warm response when we exhibited for the

first time at the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education

(IAASE) conference this week. We're happy to hear over and over again from

teachers and administrators that our Safe and Productive Internet Life &

Literacy Skills curriculum fills a great need in schools. There is no escaping

the Internet in today's digital world. Let's teach our students with

disabilities to use it right.

Know a loved one whose school could benefit from integrating SPILLS into

its Special Education curriculum? Let them know! Visit spillscurriculum.com for

more information.
