Guest guest
We are inviting parents of individuals with an ASD to join an online discussion group. We want to learn about the experiences of those parents and how they compare to parents in similar situations. We would like to learn about the issues that parents feel are unique and specific to having a child with an ASD. We would also like to learn about issues unique to families who have adult children with ASD. We plan to share what we learn with each participant and other parents of children with ASD. We are currently looking for parents of adults with ASD to participate in a discussion group that will begin in the next few weeks. We are looking to further explore the perspectives of parents of adults with ASD who are experiencing the following situations: · Your adult child with ASD still lives at home or with 24/7 supervision in a residential setting · Your adult child with ASD is unable to successfully attend college and/or · Your adult child with ASD struggles with social, communication, and behavioral impairments that have limited his/her success in settings outside the home. This study is part of a larger study that explores the perspectives of parents of children with ASD across the lifespan.
