Greetings!

We are a small group of parents of children with intellectual and developmental

disabilities (I/DD) who want to change the world, one person at a time.

We have created Best Futures, Inc., an Illinois not-for-profit corporation.

Established in June, 2011, our mission is to empower those with I/DD's to move

forward: living, working, and contributing in their community.

Our first project is to operate a concession stand/snack bar at Centennial Ice

Arena, 3100 Trail Way, Highland Park, on Saturdays and Sundays starting on

January 7th, 2012. Our goal is to staff the concession stand with individuals

who have I/DD's. We are accepting job applications now and we will begin

interviewing potential employees starting in mid-November.

Please review the attached documents carefully, and if you or someone you know

who has an I/DD is interested in a position, download and print out the

employment application, fill it out completely and legibly (if I cannot read it,

I will not be able to process it) and send it to me at 9725 Woods Drive, Unit

1501, Skokie, 60077.

We are hosting an open meeting on Tuesday, November 1st, at 7:00 P.M. at the

Northbrook Library, Civic Room. You are invited to join us. Feel free to share

the information about this meeting with other parents of teens and young adults

Please save the date: Monday, December 5th. There will be a fundraiser at

Stash's, 1825 Second St., Highland Park. For just $25.00 you will be able to

enjoy Stash's outstanding food and beverages from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Bring

your family, friends, and neighbors and help us get our business off to a great

start. More information to follow for advanced reservations for this fun

community event.
