Guest guest
Sorry...I could not get the tables to print out... Below (after the table) is the link to the SST's. The acronym SST means Service Support Teams. These are the behavioral intervention teams that handle challenging behaviors for people with developmental disabilities is community services. Home Based Support Services programs are included in this. However, upon its inception, children were not included. Children are to be included in the second phase of this program. I'm just not sure when that second phase begins. I believe that the SST program has been in existence for about a year. So this may be helpful. If not, I think that behavioral services would be covered under the waiver as a form of therapy. But a quick check of the manual suggests that it is not covered under the waiver. This link explains the SST program. http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=50861 Mike Kaminsky, Director Illinois Life Span Project 1-800-588-7002 The Arc of Illinois www.IllinoisLifeSpan.org Mike Kaminsky, Director Illinois Life Span Project 1-800-588-7002 The Arc of Illinois www.IllinoisLifeSpan.org Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@...
