Guest guest
Hello, I am new to this group. I was delighted to see that something like this exists. I have many questions but will start with just two. I am looking for living options for my 22 year old. I have found a place for her but can not afford it. The facility is part of Beverly Farm in Godfrey, IL. They have different levels of care. The group homes are covered under Medicaid. They have apartments with 24 hour support which would be perfect for her. She gets SSI monthly but this will not cover the monthly costs. Is there other funding available for housing that can be added to the SSI since the PUNS funding isn't available to her at this time and is not accepted for the apartments? Question 2...How is the best way to locate places like Lambs Farm and Beverly Farm? I just found out about these places though friends. I don't know what is available in IL., preferably southern IL. I have an extensive background in special education, IEPs, etc. for school aged children. I will be glad to help with those kinds of questions for families. Thanks!
